MORE THAN JUST FOOD

Toast combines the warmth of a neighborhood hangout with a unique dining experience. From our thoughtfully crafted menu to our distinctive reclaimed decor, we aim to create memorable moments that put a fresh spin on familiar comfort.

ROOTED IN THE FALLBROOK COMMUNITY

Toast was created by Red Herring Concepts, a Nebraska-based hospitality group known for designing distinctive restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues. Our passionate, independent team is dedicated to crafting spaces that charm the spirit, captivate the senses, and satisfy the soul.

Located in Northwest Lincoln, our concept was built to serve an area often overlooked by national food and beverage chains. With deep roots in Fallbrook, we recognized the vibrancy and diversity of this neighborhood, as well as its importance as home to many of Lincoln’s employers.

Our concept is designed to serve everyone, from families and business professionals to middle schoolers, university students, and happy hour regulars. Whether it’s your first visit or your twenty-first, Toast is your local hangout. We can’t wait to welcome you.

THE BURLINGTON TRAIN STATION

Our bar cabinets once stood in this world-renowned station. We added glass racks and extended the bases, but otherwise they remain as they were when salvaged.

MISTER C'S STEAK HOUSE

The brass foot rail at our bar comes from the beloved Mister C’s, which operated for almost 55 years. While the original brackets were missing, we aged new ones to match their classic charm.

WHITTIER JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Built in 1923 as the first middle school constructed in the U.S, Whittier sat vacant for decades before its revival. Toast’s baseboards, window and door trim, bar lights, and restroom doors all come from this iconic building.
